Physical infrastructure: Jennys College of Nursing is constructed on a sprawling campus and has an excellent physical infrastructure. The well planned infrastructure encompasses Academic Blocks, Administrative Blocks, Faculty Rooms, Library and Laboratories. The College is situated at Ramjee Nagar, 7 kms from central bus stand Tiruchirappalli on the Trichy-Dindigul Highway

Laboratory

The Nurses should have professional training and skill in nursing procedures during their academia to function effectively and safeguard the clients and the profession in the hospital and community. To facilitate this, the students are initially trained to provide care, practice procedures and understand customs, habits and traditions in a closed environment called the “Nursing Laboratories”.
Jennys College of nursing has world class nursing laboratories adequately equipped with imported cots, mannequins, models, articles and equipments to provide hands on experience for the students in a controlled setting. The students learn in the labs by making trial and error and promptly guided and corrected by their faculty. The labs leave the students with confidence to practice nursing care efficiently on their patients. In a way labs ensure ethical principles of nursing care effectively on their patients getting exposed to raw practice of students. Nursing Foundations Laboratory

This Lab is well equipped with 10 beds including fracture bed & fowler’s bed & 15 sets of all items needed for nursing procedure practice. It is well ventilated with with adequate lighting & provides facilities for practice of 20 students at a time. It has got hand washing facilities both pedal and hand operated. There is a separate area for teaching isolation techniques. There is an adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Dummy also available for students to practice first aid in case of a cardiac arrest.

Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory

There are three whole body mounted skeleton and plenty of loose bones to facilitate students learning. It is equipped with charts & models of all systems.

Nutrition Laboratory

It has got LPG connections, hand washing facilities, storage facility for dry ration, refrigerator for storing perishables. Pressure cookers, Mixie & Microwave oven facilitate cooking demonstrations, dining area facilitate students to learn serving etiquette & how to make food presentation & serving in an attractive way.

Bio chemistry & Micro biology Laboratory

The laboratory is a modernized, well planned and well equipped article such as Sterilizer, Hot air oven, laminar airflow, centrifuge, Microscope, Autoclave, and Hemoglobin meter, Spectrometer & Epidiascope.

Computer Laboratory

Computer lab has spacious area & well equipped with 20 computers connected with internet facilities.

Maternal & Child Health Nursing Laboratory (MCH)

The Lab has got delivery tables, manikins all essential instruments used in maternity & child health. There are four delivery cots with all necessary accessories. There is separate area earmarked for teaching neonatal assessment baby bath, growth and development and a play therapy area.

Community Health Nursing Laboratory

The lab is well equipped with all furniture & equipments to facilitate students learning. It has adequate AV aids for health education like, Puppets, Charts, Models, Flash Cards, Flannel graph. Each student is provided with fully equipped Community Health bags for facilitating Community activities.

Library Facilities

The library at the Jennys College of Nursing is a store house of knowledge stocking more than 2,000 books of current Medical and Nursing titles and subscriptions of about 15 journals both National and International Journals. It also has digital library with e-journals facility.

Classroom

The Jennys College of Nursing has well ventilated classrooms with comfortable seating arrangements. Each classroom is equipped with Black Boards, OHPs and a Public Address System.

Multipurpose Hall

The college building has two modernized air conditioned multipurpose hall with LCD projector and audio visual facilities to conduct seminars, and various other educational and cultural programmes of the college.

Clinicals

We have tie-up arrangements with various Speciality Hospitals in the district to provide practical training for our students.

Community Facilities

We have an affiliation to the Primary Health Centre, Enamkoolathoor and Periyamilaguparai the Urban Health Centre for the students to gain experience in various rural and Urban Government Health programmes. We have adopted Nachikurichi Village which has a population of about 12,000 people to render Rural Health services through our Jennys Community Health Centre.

Transport Facilities

The Students are provided to have transport facilities which enable them to reach the affiliated hospitals, and other areas of clinical posting. The faculty have also pick up and drop facilities between the college central bus stand and Railway junction. The College is provided with 4 buses.

Recreation Facilities

The sports facilities within the campus will enable the students outdoor games such as Throwball, Basketball, Tennis, and Badminton etc. The indoor games such as Table Tennis,Chess, Carrom Board and Scrabble etc. will be provided in the hostel. TV with Dish connection & DVD facilities will be provided for entertainment.

Hostel Facilities

Our Hostel building is well ventilated with spacious rooms, safe for student accommodation. It is equipped with reading room, recreation hall, visitor’s room, sick room, and hygienic Kitchen which will serve both vegetarian and non vegetarian food.
Hostel is equipped with basic amenities but of royal quality along with Ro water, inverters and netted windows, Etc
It also has solar water heaters, led 42” TV with Tata sky for recreation, computers with internet facility are provided in the hostel itself.
